AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Prepare Submission

Authors intending to submit manuscripts to the Journal of Radiology and Clinical Research, the official publication of Read and Research Publications, must ensure that their work falls within the aims and scope of the journal. Submissions should present significant contributions to the field of radiology, medical imaging, and related clinical research.

Before submitting a manuscript, authors are required to carefully review the journal’s formatting, structure, and submission guidelines provided on the journal’s official website. Manuscripts that do not follow the prescribed format may be returned to the authors for revision prior to peer review.

The journal accepts only original and unpublished work. Submitted manuscripts must not be under consideration for publication in any other journal or publication at the time of submission. Authors are responsible for ensuring the authenticity and originality of their work.

All submissions must comply with internationally accepted ethical standards in research and academic publishing. This includes proper citation of sources, avoidance of plagiarism, and adherence to ethical guidelines for studies involving human participants, animals, or clinical data where applicable.

The editorial board reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s standards, scope, or ethical requirements.

Registration and Tracking

First-time users must complete free registration on the submission portal. Registered authors can log in using their credentials to submit manuscripts. The system allows authors to track review progress and revisions. Authors should keep their login details secure for future correspondence.

Technical Support

For any technical issues during submission, authors may contact the support team. Queries should clearly describe the problem encountered. Include the manuscript ID for faster assistance. Support is available via the official technical email address.

General Information

Author Instructions:
Authors are advised to carefully review the detailed author guidelines before preparing and submitting their manuscripts to the Journal of Radiology and Clinical Research (JRCR). These guidelines provide important information regarding manuscript preparation, formatting requirements, submission procedures, ethical standards, and the peer-review process.

To ensure a smooth submission and review process, authors must follow all instructions outlined in the journal’s Author Guidelines. Manuscripts that do not comply with the prescribed format or requirements may be returned to the authors for correction prior to editorial review.

Author Responsibility

The JRCR accepts only original manuscripts that have not been previously published, submitted, or accepted for publication elsewhere in whole or in part. Authors must provide a formal declaration confirming the originality of the work and that it is not under consideration by any other journal. Publication of research in the form of an abstract in conference proceedings is not regarded as prior publication; however, full disclosure of such presentations must be clearly stated in the Acknowledgments section at the time of submission.

Authors are required to disclose if any part of the manuscript has appeared on a website, institutional repository, preprint server, or in another language. Any related publications, including those published in different languages, must also be declared. The use of previously published material protected by copyright must be properly cited, and written permission must be obtained where necessary.

Authorship

All authors must have made significant contributions to all the following:

  • The conception and design of the study, or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data.
  • Drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.
  • Final approval of the version to be submitted.

Only one author may be designated as the corresponding author, responsible for receiving and managing all correspondence regarding the submission. Authors may also designate one co-first author, but there can be only one corresponding author.

All affiliations must be accurate at the time of acceptance, or at the latest, when proof is sent to check post-acceptance. Please note that once the article is published, no further changes to affiliations can be made.

Changes to Authorship

Authors are expected to carefully determine the list and order of authors before submitting their manuscript and to provide the definitive author list at the time of the original submission. Any addition, removal, or rearrangement of authors should occur only before the manuscript is accepted and must be approved by the Journal Editor. To request such a change, the corresponding author must provide the Editor with:

  • A clear explanation for the change in the author list, and
  • Written confirmation (via email or letter) from all authors, including the author being added or removed, agreeing to the proposed addition, removal, or rearrangement.

Changes to authorship after acceptance will be considered only under exceptional circumstances. While the Editor reviews such a request, publication of the manuscript will be suspended. If the manuscript has already been published online, any approved changes will be addressed through a corrigendum.

Conflict of Interest

The corresponding author, on behalf of all co-authors, is required to disclose any financial or personal relationships with individuals or organizations that could potentially influence the research. Such relationships may include, but are not limited to, employment, consultancy, stock ownership, honoraria, paid expert testimony, patent applications or registrations, grants, or other sources of funding. All authors, including those with no competing interests, must provide the relevant information to the corresponding author, clearly stating if there is nothing to declare. The corresponding author should compile this information into a single shared disclosure statement using the designated tool and upload it during the Attach Files step of the submission process. The original .docx template must be used without conversion, and author signatures are not required.

Submission Declaration

Submission of a manuscript confirms that the work is original and has not been published previously, except in the form of an abstract, conference presentation, or academic thesis, as permitted under publication ethics guidelines. It also affirms that the manuscript is not under review by any other journal and that all authors have approved the submission, along with the relevant institutional or regulatory authorities where the research was conducted. Upon acceptance, the article must not be published elsewhere in the same or substantially similar form, in any language or electronic format, without prior written permission from the copyright holder. To ensure adherence to these standards, all submissions will be screened using Turnitin anti plagiarism software for similarity.

Editorial Process

The Journals follow a rigorous and transparent double-blind peer-review process to ensure that all published manuscripts are scientifically sound, original, clinically relevant, and methodologically robust.

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess suitability, scope alignment, and compliance with the Author Guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet the required standards or exceed prescribed limits may be returned to the authors without peer review. Authors may resubmit after addressing the specified requirements.

Eligible manuscripts are forwarded for double-blind peer review, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure impartial evaluation. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent external experts. In cases of conflicting recommendations, a third reviewer may be invited to provide an additional opinion. Editorial decisions are based on reviewers’ evaluations and the Editor’s independent judgment. The Editor’s decision is final.

Reviewer comments and recommendations (acceptance, revision, or rejection) are communicated to the corresponding author. Authors are required to submit a revised manuscript along with a detailed, point-by-point response addressing each reviewer’s comment. The review process may involve multiple rounds of revision until the manuscript meets the scientific and editorial standards of the journal.

Once accepted, manuscripts undergo professional copy-editing for language, formatting, grammar, and style consistency. Galley proofs are sent to the corresponding author for final review and approval. Corrected proof must be returned within three days to avoid delays in publication.

Peer Review

JRCR Journal follows a rigorous double-anonymized peer-review process to ensure fairness, transparency, and academic excellence. Upon submission, each manuscript is first evaluated by the editorial team to assess its relevance, originality, and suitability for the journal’s scope and standards. Submissions that meet these criteria are then forwarded to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers for a thorough and unbiased assessment of the scientific quality, methodological rigor, clarity, and contribution to the field. Reviewer identities remain confidential throughout the process. Based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the journal’s editorial policies, the editors make the final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of the manuscript.

In-House Submissions

Manuscripts submitted by members of the Editorial Board, Editors, or individuals associated with the journal are handled with strict confidentiality and transparency. Such submissions are not assigned to or reviewed by the concerned Editorial Board member. Instead, the manuscript is managed independently by another designated Editor who has no conflict of interest.

All in-house submissions undergo the same rigorous double-blind peer-review process and are evaluated by at least two independent external reviewers. Editorial decisions are made impartially and solely based on scientific merit.
